I am an Assistant Professor of Education at Boston University's Wheelock College of Education & Human Development.

My research broadly uses quantitative methods to study the causes and consequences of inequality in K-12 public education. Focus areas include teacher labor markets, student mental health, the impacts of Covid-19, and links between crime and education.

My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Economic Review: Insights, Journal of Public Economics, Economics of Education Review, Education Finance and Policy, and Educational Researcher. It has also been featured in various media outlets such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Time, and FiveThirtyEight.

I received my Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University in 2020.
